Vulcatec has been supplying expertise and products for over 40 years. As a specialist in the field of customised seals using the hot vulcanisation process, we are able to present our customers with individual solutions and products. From customised products to large series, we offer solutions to meet the highest demands.
Vulcanisation
In principle, all commercially available elastomer qualities can be hot vulcanised.
This processing enables barely visible vulcanisation points, which are characterised by their tensile strength and individual resistance.
In the process of hot vulcanisation of seals, elastomers are permanently bonded together under high pressure and temperature conditions. The advantages of hot vulcanisation lie in the barely visible vulcanisation points and the almost identical chemical and thermal properties of the vulcanisation points. In addition, seals can be produced in almost all dimensions.
Customised gaskets made using the hot vulcanisation process are suitable for static applications. Thanks to the good price-performance ratio, even very small quantities or individual items can be produced.

Find out how we can advance your industry
Machinery industry
Seals in the machine industry play a central role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of machines.
They serve this purpose:
- Seal off liquids and gases to prevent leaks
- Provide protection from contaminants such as dust, dirt or moisture
- Reduce friction and wear, which extends the service life of machine components
Pharmaceutical industry
Seals in the pharmaceutical industry fulfil extremely important functions, as they have to meet strict hygiene requirements and regulatory standards.
- Materials must be FDA and EU compliant
- High chemical resistance to aggressive cleaning agents and chemicals
- Function at extreme temperatures, e.g. during sterilisation
Chemical and food industry
Seals play a central role in the chemical and food industries, as they ensure both process safety and product quality.
- High chemical resistance
- Thermal stability
- Food-safe materials
- High abrasion resistance
Medical industry
Seals in the medical industry have a crucial function, as they are used in sensitive applications that require the highest precision, reliability and safety standards.
Materials used:
- Silicone: High biocompatibility and flexibility
- EPDM: Resistant to heat, steam and disinfectants
- FKM: For applications that require chemical and thermal stability
